If you’ve been to the Minnesota State Fair, it’s likely you’ve walked by the Farmers Union Coffee Shop. The building that’s stood since 1953 on the corner of Dan Patch and Cosgrove is a popular place for fairgoers to grab morning coffee or afternoon ice cream bars. It’s the home of the acclaimed Mocha-On-a-Stick and, more recently, the Maple Cream Nitro Cold Press Coffee.
Originally, the building was an exposition for MFU and cooperatives. That’s still true today, as we display information on the walls about our organization and educate consumers about where their food comes from. In 2018, we have an all-new building look at the fair that will further our mission to educate the public about the importance of agriculture and MFU, featuring video interviews with our members.
We partner with St. Paul-based JS Bean Factory, the makers of Farmers Choice Coffee. The ingredients in our products are sourced from Minnesota farmers.
Farmers Union Coffee Shop is a great place to stop during your day at the fair, sit on our patio and enjoy a cup of coffee, a frappe or a snack. Visit with our members and staff about what’s important for agriculture today.
