Every day, policymakers in St. Paul are making decisions that affect your farm, family, and community. That’s why Minnesota Farmers Union hosted a Virtual Lobby Day on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. It was a great opportunity for members to meet with their legislators and other policymakers on topics including drought relief, meat processing, affordable healthcare, and climate resiliency.
“Minnesota Farmers Union’s strength lies in the advocacy of our members. It is important for farmers to speak directly to elected officials.” Said MFU President Gary Wertish. “Although we are not able to meet in person, a Virtual Lobby Day still gives members the opportunity to lift up issues that matter to farmers and their communities.”
